Loba biotech GmbH

In 2019, the previous producer of the biologics product peginterferon alfa-2a announced it would cease commercialization of this medicine. Following our acquisition of peginterferon alfa-2a in 2021, we acquired Loba Feinchemie GmbH to ensure a stable supply chain and secure future availability for eligible patients. We committed to investing in the ongoing development and certification to transform it into our wholly owned manufacturing plant in Austria, Loba biotech GmbH.

This significant investment was essential to develop our vertical manufacturing capabilities for the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in peginterferon alfa-2a. Loba biotech features a 2,500-square-meter production facility and a 1,300-square-meter quality control laboratory. Peginterferon alfa-2a requires 18 purification stages to ensure the highest quality and patient safety. In 2025, Loba biotech received a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate from the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES).

pharma& Scheibbs

pharma& continues to grow, expanding efficiencies with our investment in a 7,000-square-meter production facility and secondary packaging site in Scheibbs, Austria. A significant interior renovation was completed in 2025, which included the installation of a photovoltaic system, refrigerated and standard warehouses, and packaging lines. pharma& Scheibbs received a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate from the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) in June 2025. Operations began in September 2025.
